So it is official… time does fly. It feels like a few months ago but it’s been a year since I was involved with a small team who got together to build a Firefox extension on behalf of knowmore.org to submit to the N2Y3 Mashup Challenge. The project had knowmore.orgs name written all over it as the goal of the mashups was to provide deeper insight into the social issues affecting communities around the globe.
The project was a huge success with the Knowmore.org Firefox Extension winning second place and $15,000. All of the winnings went directly back into knowmore.org and between the new Firefox extension, the conference and the competition knowmore.org earned some well-deserved exposure.
My involvement in the project was small. I was responsible for some graphic work, mock ups and promo content for the website. However, since I was the lead web developer on the new knowmore.org website, I am even more committed to this effort.
