Carleton Now

Carleton Now is a monthly online magazine focused on building and fostering an engaged campus community. Previously Carleton Now was a print publication distributed internally to all of Carleton University staff and faculty.

In an effort to save money, in early 2010, Carleton launched an initiative to move several of its print publications to online only versions. Carleton Now was the first of these to be converted to online only. Dropping the print version meant it was important to offer readers a good experience and functionality, that would otherwise be unavailable in print, such as, video, slideshow and the ability for readers to comment on stories.
